The Power of Forgiveness: A Blessed Gift

A Gift You Can’t Earn, Only Receive

Have you ever struggled with the idea that God could completely forgive you? Maybe there are moments when you feel like your past mistakes disqualify you from His love. The good news is this: forgiveness is not something you achieve—it’s a gift God freely gives.

The Apostle Paul, in Romans 4:6-8, reminds us of this truth by pointing to King David’s words:

"Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the person against whom the Lord will never count sin." (Romans 4:7-8)

David knew what it meant to sin deeply. He committed adultery, orchestrated a murder, and tried to cover it up. Yet, after he repented, God fully forgave him. Why? Because forgiveness is based on faith, not works.
